I FOUND BARK AROUND THE CORNER

As readers of this blog already know, I became fascinated by tree bark on a recent trip to Maui.  To distract my attention from the snow and cold in New York City, I decided to photograph some trees at close range on West 82nd and 81st Streets and in Central Park.  That these trees thrive amidst the concrete and without the gentle breezes of the Pacific makes me that much gladder to celebrate their mystery.
