WOW. My friend Steve Sando, purveyor of superb heirloom beans, is featured in The New York Times Sunday magazine today. It couldn’t happen to a nicer fellow or to more deserving beans. Steve has also written a dandy cookbook called HEIRLOOM BEANS, to which I’ve contributed a pressure cooker bean and risotto recipe. And it’s now on Amazon.com’s best-seller list, no surprise. Go Stevie!
