My Sweetie and I are leaving for two weeks in Sicily, lucky us. We’ve been once before and were so smitten with the wildflowers, Easter processionals, superb fresh fish, lifelike marzipan fruits and little lambs, blood orange juice, and lemon orchards bursting with fruit, that we decided to return and see other parts of this gorgeous and delicious island.
We’ll be landing in Palermo, then staying in a rental apartment in Scopello, a small seaside town near Trapani and Erice on the west coast, then heading for Agrigento and finally to Siracusa where we’ll once again stay in an apartment whose balcony overlooks the sea in the old section of town called Ortygia.
We like to go to all of the markets and do some cooking at home, but we also LOVE eating out. I don’t think you can get a bad meal or a bad cup of coffee in all of Sicily.
We decided not to bring our computers, but I can promise you numerous blogs and many photos documenting our experience once we return. Ciao for now.
