This Labor Day, September 7, I’ll be demonstrating pressure cooking at a potluck lunch in a community garden at 640 East 12th Street (between Avenues B & C) in New York City.   I’ll be cooking fresh hearty greens picked right from the garden.  The event runs from 1 to 5 and my demo will be around 3.  Bring some prepared food and join the fun.

This event is one of over 250 Eat-Ins taking place on Labor Day.  These Eat-Ins represent Slow Food’s National Day of Action, drawing attention to their Time for Lunch campaign which focuses on offering  kids real food at school.  Organizers in all 50 states have joined the effort.  Here’s a link to find an Eat-In near you:  What a tasty and meaningful way to spend Labor Day.
