id=PictureI can’t wait to get to the Lower East Side on Sunday and taste pickled foods from all around the world.  The Sweetie will be right there with me; he loves pickled foods even more than I do.  I read on that there will be exhibitions, music, children’s activities, walking tours, cooking demonstrations, and gardening information, plus special retail and restaurant offerings from nearby businesses — and lots of tastings.

The event will also feature author Lucy Norris who will be signing copies of her newly-released book Pickled: Preserving a World of Tastes and Traditions.

I’ll bring my camera and report back, but meanwhile wanted to be sure you have all the info:

Where: Parking Lot at Orchard Street between Grand and Broome Streets (free parking for bikes)

When: Sunday, October 4 from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm (rain or shine)
